Not sure whether to define the curious case of Caster Semenya as oppressive because of race, sexism, gender oppression, lookism, imperialism or a heady mixture of all the afore mentioned. I don't pay much mind to sports. There's already too much focus on gender roles, gendered aesthetics and gendered iconography as far as I'm concerned. All those sports where wimmin have to wear short skirts and flash their panties and crotches via spreading or opening their legs in order to get graded well...gymnastics, ice skating...I guess I should be adding track, as well.
