systemic oppression, internalized racism, patriarchy, shadeism, homophobia, lesbophobia, classism, gender oppression, nationalism, materialism, status seeking academic elitism, christian religiosity, sexual abuse unquestioned, imposed monogamy, compulsory heterosexuality, sexual conservatism, silence and avoidance
so much preying on our spirits, individually and collectively
i knew i would not be able to breathe
i knew i would want to scream

i left the frantic beat and the dance to those who were interested. i can always dance and think and speak and resist and question in my own yard...
