Map of u.s.intervention in latin america...

via School of the Americas Watch...

Hi Darkdaughta,

The full color map of U.S. interventions in Latin America in the Spring 2011 issue of Presente is a big success. We have received a ton of positive feedback for the creative illustration of some historical evidence in regards to the continuity of oppressive U.S. foreign policy towards Latin America under Republican and Democratic administrations.

The message the map conveys is that to create real change in the bi-partisan U.S. foreign policy, it’ll take more than a change in the White House but the kind of hard and persistent grassroots organizing that has brought the victories that we are seeing in Latin America. Bill Quigley from the SOA Watch Legal Collective suggested a print run of the U.S. Interventions map as a stand alone full color poster ("Whatever you have to do, you have to make this into a poster asap - it is wonderful.")

Together with some of our closest partner organizations, we have printed a total of 50,000 copies of the map (at a union print shop of course!)

We are going to make the bilingual map available to you for $3.
Click here to order one or more copies of the double-sided (one side with the U.S. intervention map in English and the other side with the map in Spanish) map of U.S. interventions in Latin America.

We are grateful to the design team of ILC.iNK for their work on this awesome educational resource. Click here to download a high-resolution pdf version of the map.
